HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
Ng’eny Primary School is said to have opened its doors to its first pupils in 1957 having been mothered by Nyalenya Primary School. The school started with admitting pupils to classes 1, 2 and 3. In 1959, the school had its first candidates for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) which was administered at standard 4. In 1964 the school further expanded upto standard 7 and had its first candidates of Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). Earlier on the school had been under the management of the Catholic Church and the school leader changed at the whims of the church. Later the Government of Kenya took over the management of all Primary School and became responsible for all schools management and funding. At that juncture the Catholic Church remained sponsors of the school with reduced responsibility. The school’s small home was established in 1985 and it housed learners with dissabilities.Currently the school has a unit for the hearing impaired learners and the physically challenged learners have been integrated in the main stream.
